Welcome to Liberty Oriental Carpets. We specialise in antique, old and newly hand made woven rugs and carpets from all over the world. Each piece is an individual work of art - hand woven using methods and skills passed down through the centuries. Each pattern as unique as the tribes, traditions and weavers themselves and each weaver tells their own story through their work.

Hand Chosen

Each piece is picked personally by Bruce Lepere in the Dasht-e Kavir desert, in the Bazaars of Peshawar and in the Hindu Kusht mountains. Each piece is haggled over and shipped to Liberty in Great Marlborough Street in the heart of London's West End where you will find it in our gallery on the 4th floor. Each piece will be shown to you by hand and its story told to you in person. This website will give you a small taste of our stock but we always encourage customers to come into the shop where you can appreciate the colours and feel of each individual piece.

Hand Laid

We will discuss exactly what you are looking for; size, shape and colour and if it is not in stock we will source it through our connections in the Orient. Then we will deliver to you and lay each piece in turn until you are completely satisfied. And when you are looking for your next piece we will remember you and your personal requirements.

Our Stock

This website will give you a small taste of our stock, which in our gallery we organise in stacks according to size. We have over 4000 pieces, but we always encourage customers to come into the shop to view the rugs and talk to one of our specialist team for your individual needs. We have also included on this website a small selection of interesting Objets that Bruce has picked up on his travels.
